Two things worth having ready

The model number comes first. Depending on the machine it hides on the door frame, behind the kick plate or inside the drawer housing, and it tells us which variant of an appliance we are dealing with before anybody sets off. The second is a description of behaviour rather than a theory about causes. Saying that the fridge side has gone warm while the freezer is still solid narrows the field enormously, and quite often decides which spare travels on the van.

How the appointment runs

Bookings are made against two hour windows. Should a technician fall behind earlier in the day, somebody telephones you rather than leaving you watching the driveway. Appointments run every day of the week during the hours at the foot of this page, and a request made in the morning can generally be met before evening.

What it costs to ask

Requesting the visit costs nothing at all. A callout figure is quoted at the time of booking, that figure is the entire liability if you decide against proceeding, and it is absorbed into the repair price if you go ahead. No panel is removed until a fixed repair price has your agreement.
