This notice sets out what Astre Appliance Service records about the people who contact it, the reasons that information is held, and the limits we place on what happens to it.
Arranging a visit requires a name, an address, a telephone number and an email address, together with whatever you can tell us about the appliance. A phone conversation is noted for the same purpose. Where a booking arrives through the form on this site, our scheduling provider passes those details across to us so the appointment can be entered.
Four of them, and no others: arranging and completing the repair, honoring the guarantee afterwards, ordering the correct spare, and satisfying the record keeping that tax law and consumer law impose on a trading business. Selling, renting or handing this information to marketing operations forms no part of how we work.
A job record covering the appliance, the spares installed and the guarantee dates stays with us for as long as a claim against that guarantee remains possible and for as long as the law obliges us to keep it. Once neither applies, the record is destroyed.
The suppliers we order spares from and the scheduling provider that runs the booking form, restricted in each case to what the task requires. Beyond that, disclosure happens only where a court or a statute compels it.
You are entitled to ask what we hold, to have it corrected, and to have it erased where no legal obligation requires us to keep it. Write to service@astreapplianceservices.com or telephone 732-679-5500 and we will deal with it directly.
Only the cookies WordPress itself needs in order to serve pages. There is no advertising network here and nothing that follows you elsewhere. Opening the booking form loads it from our scheduling provider, which may set cookies of its own at that point.
A revised notice replaces this one on this page and takes effect from the moment it appears.
